Silibrina

This excellent band of 7 musicians has already made significant strides in their still young career.

After a season in the United States, performing in cities like Austin and New York, participating in the SXSW Music Festival, and playing in renowned jazz venues like Nublu in New York, Silibrina visited Lisbon, Santa Cruz, Tenerife, and Seville for the first time while presenting their debut album O Raio in 2018.

With influences from jazz, pop, and rhythms of popular culture such as frevo, maracatu, and baião, Silibrina returns to Portugal to present their new album Estandarte, along with other new compositions. Through instrumental music, they showcase the Brazilian essence that influences the musicians in the band. Piano, bass, guitar, and brass are joined by percussion instruments commonly found in Brazilian popular music, such as caracaxá, ganzá, timbal, alfaia, gonguê, and pandeiro. The result offers the audience a new perspective on musical possibilities, delivered in an elegant yet electrifying way.

July 10th will mark the first date in Portugal for this tour, and the only date in Greater Lisbon, taking place at Cine Incrível – Alma Danada in Almada.
